There will be an Information Session in Edmonton on Tuesday November 19, 2019, at the Radisson hotel 4440 Gateway Boulevard from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please bring your questions about the constitution and citizenship law. Facilitators will be Koren Lightning Earle and Eileen Saskamoose. Please see the poster for contact information.
First, there will be a Chief’s Luncheon on September 24 at the Pigeon Lake / Mameo Beach Recreation centre. Second, there will be an Information Update regarding the Cows and Plows program. The Nation is starting the Chief’s Luncheons again and this one will be at the HBMC on Friday September 13, 2019, starting at 11:30 AM and going until 1:30 PM. There will be an Elders Meeting at the Howard Buffalo Memorial Centre (HBMC) on August 20 and 21, 2019. The meetings start at 9 AM and go until 3 PM. Please see poster for details.
Samson Cree Nation will be hosting the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Awards and this is the first time it will be held on a First Nations territory. The community engagement in Mameo Beach has been changed to Wednesday July 3, 2019, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The topic is the second reading of the constitution. Please join us for the second reading of the constitution on July 11, 2019, at the HBMC in Samson. There will be two presentations: (1) 1:00 PM to 3:00 Pm and (2) 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
