The 41st Annual Indian Nationals Finals Rodeo (INFR) 2016 boasts approximately 11 Regional Cowboy Associations in Canada and the USA, that includes over 75 Tribes representing their First Nations in their respective categories. Contestants dream of becoming a World Champion, and the INFR is the place they compete to become that World Champion. All the Leaders in Points and Money from each Regions Associations qualify for the INFR. This Year Maskwacis was well presented at the 2016 Indian Nationals Finals Rodeo, there were approximately 11 people from Maskwacis that qualified and we are proud to report that JR Barrel Racer Alexi Buffalo placed 6th and SR Team Ropers Merle Yellowbird and Marcel Saulteaux placed 2nd, Steer wrestler Keenan Crane placed 11th, Team Ropers Greg Louis and Harry Ed placed 7th, and Bull Rider Preston Louis placed 2nd in their categories. Todd Buffalo was a Judge at the INFR; Professional Bull Fighter Kristopher Buffalo also represented Maskwacis. Congratulations Cowboys and Cowgirls.
