On January 19 an open casting call with Classic Casting, Casting Director Allyson Lockwood, was held at the HBMC. The casting crew were looking for extra’s in the upcoming Feature Film “The Revenant” with Leonardo DiCaprio as the lead role. The casting director was looking for adult native men & women with a slim build, long hair, and horse-riding experience. 36 community members from Maskwacis were selected from the casting director to be placed as extra’s in the movie “The Revenant”. These individuals went for fittings on Friday January 23, 2015. Thank you too every one who auditioned and to those assisted with organizing of this casting call. Filming will take place in and around Calgary between mid February till thee end of March.
