On September 27, 2014 Maskwacis Cultural College (MCC) not only celebrated the graduating class of 2014, but also the 40th anniversary of College.
MCC was founded in 1974 and the 4 Chiefs serving as founding members were Montana Chief Cecil Currie, Louis Bull Chief Peter Bull, Ermineskin Chief Morris Wolf and Samson Chief Norman Yellowbird. Dr. Wilton Littlechild was also honored for his generous contributions to Maskwacis and an Indigenous Law collection to the Peter Bull Library. Dr Wilton Littlechild stated ‘Today is the first day of your journey.’ Bob Thorton was also honored, another individual whom was instrumental in the formation of Maskwacis Cultural College as the first Director.
Guest speakers included Dr. Claudine Louis and Student Council President Randall Baptiste. Congratulations to the graduating class of 2014 and best wishes on all of your future endeavours.
