Generous donation put towards a new computer lab in Samson

On August 16, 2013, the Socio Economic Development Standing Committee, Director and Managers held a cheque presentation and gift giving ceremony and luncheon to acknowledge a donation from CanElson Drilling Inc. in Calgary toward the purchase of fifteen (15) computers for the Human Resources computer lab. On hand representing CanElson and to present the cheque were Marketing Manager Terry Kuiper and Chief Financial Officer Rob Skilnick. The computers will be a valuable resource for the programs offered through Human Resources Training & Development and the ceremony itself is indicative of the partnerships that the Samson Cree Nation has developed with industry. Samson Cree Nation is most appreciative of the generous donation by CanElson and it was recommended to name the lab after CanElson. Samson also presented Terry and Rob with a gift of artwork. The computers will be utilized towards our efforts in assisting our community members to move forward in their lives.
